Chantilly Eatery – Don Churro’s

Want some good, I mean GREAT, South American food? Not talking Tex-Mex, rather Argentine, Columbian, and Peruvian for starters. These bring to mind Pisco Sours, Empanadas, and other wonderful delights.

Head to Don Churro’s near Rt 50 and Centreville Road. Located between the Dairy Queen and the Goodyear Tire place in a little strip mall. Don’t let the outside distract you. The food is fantastic.

We found this little place before they opened. Out for a ride on Scooter and we were looking for a place for supper. Pulled in and saw the menu. They were having a dinner for the new employees before the place opened in a few days. We talked with the owners, promised to come back. It was worth the wait. We had our Wedding Rehearsal dinner there, as well as enjoying supper there the night we got married.

We have been back several times, and pleasantly surprised each time. This is NOT a fast food place. each dish is hand made when the order is placed. We ordered Paella one night to share, it was worth the wait. It wasn’t on the menu the last time we were there, but you can ask for it in advance. Don’t worry about the wait though, order a Pisco Sour (or two) and you won’t mind the wait.

Oh, don’t forget the flan and churros for dessert.
